I am Byron Robinson, founder of the Better Dads Society. I was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida and am a proud graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1994. As a Jacksonville native, I am committed to my community and making it better. Even though I was raised by a single mother, my grandfather and uncle were positive influences in my life. Despite the negativity that surrounded me, they taught me the values of a true man. They showed me through actions how to provide, protect and lead my family. The purpose of the Better Dads Society is to teach men to be the best fathers they can be. To equip them with the tools needed to properly lead their families. By helping fathers, we in turn help their children and their children's children by breaking cycles of poverty, neglect and suffering in silence. For those children who don't have positive male role models, the Better Dads Society will stand in the gap and show them love too. Through a network of mentors, we will teach these youth the same values taught to me by my grandfather and uncle...how to be a man, not just a male.
